Unfortunately this cable did not work with my system (likely hardware issue). I had to use the default cable that came with the drive.
Cable definitely works, and would be worth getting for the increased transfer rate vs USB 2.0 – Especially considering the data sizes you would be looking at.
Good cable length and now allows the drive to connect directly to the USB C port on my laptop.

If you want quality like I do, I’d suggest getting this optional cable. No point having a great drive and falling short on the cable it connects with. 5/5
Decent length, and good build quality (braided cable and metal plug bodies). Nice upgrade over the default cable that comes with the drive I bought.
The original USB cable was not long enough.
