About me…

As a movie lover and collector, I started around 18 years ago building up my DVD collection. I then switched to blu-ray discs a few years later when they came out. I now have hundreds of blu-ray’s in my movie collection.

Then a few years later UHD blu-ray’s came about….

Now, almost 5 years on, I have added around 200 UHD’s to my movie collection.

Now, I am also a PC builder (for the past 20 years!) and a self-taught programmer (for the past 10 years!) and knew exactly what had to be done to my PC’s optical drives to enable UHD readability.

Ever since I changed the firmware on my own optical drives, I have been helping others that need/want the same thing.

Besides watching movies, tinkering, building and modifying things are my favorite hobby! If I also happen to make a few dollars doing it, well, that’s great!!

I was selling the occasional drive on eBay but to save money on fees, I decided to create my hobby place instead…
