Works exactly as advertised, which is to say, amazingly! Usage is plug and play, even on Linux. No extra kernel modules to load and no special software needed, just bring MakeMKV, VLC, or whatever you want that plays bluray discs. So far from my tests I can confirm that it works for both standard Bluray discs and UHD Bluray discs. Shipping was surprisingly quick, and as someone who doesn’t have the kind of technical know how to feel comfortable flashing a drive for themself, I’d say it is well worth the price.

The drive mad ein Oct 24 but worked like a dream. Currently ripping some ( not all yet) discs that my LG drive could not. quite while running. Would have bought the better models if stock had been available then. Great product.

Worked fine after I plugged it into my desktop computer. I had issues using the wrong adaptor to connect to my laptop. Seller sent me a list of devices compatible with the drive, but I did’nt have to use it. I simply found a spare slot in my desktop computer and it was fine.
The shipper was helpful, prompt and responded to any inquiries i had before ordering. The drive itself was well wrapped and packaged. Works great for reading CDs/DVDs/ and ripping blurays/UHD blurays through MakeMKV. Does not detect PS3/PS4 discs if you’re planning on dumping games (currently). Took about 1.5 weeks from order date to arrive and there was a $15 CAD handling/import fee that I had to pay to the local postal service to retrieve the package here in Canada. Overall great service and drive. Hopefully it’ll last me the same amount of years my old dvd drive did.

A great replacement for my old drive. It just works with all my Blu-Ray disks and DVDs. And so much easier that using another software solution.
As others have noted, this worked out of the box with MakeMKV for ripping UHD discs. Swapped my WH16NS40 which only lasted 90 days or so – hoping this lasts longer!
