Well, this is a surprise. It arrived today. Very well packaged. I am worse than a kid in a lolly shop, eagerly awaiting my treat.
However, I own (which is now dying on me, hence my purchase) the Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD Slot Loading Drive which I got online from some random store in America. Great little drive, unfortunately it only ripped 230-250 UHD DVD’s, it happens (Thanks & RIP).
So I was very reluctant to make another expensive purchase. Do I regret it now? Hell No! I read the reviews on this site and did a little homework myself. Don’t only take my word for it, read the others reviews. They are very accurate.
What a treat, wish I did this sooner. Runs very smooth and quiet. Rips at recommended speeds, depending on each individual disk of course (they all vary). Have already ripped one season of a Blu-Ray TV Show. Currently while typing ripping a 4K UHD Movie title. Very sexy to look at too xx.

Hands down the best UHD drive I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Tested with discs that my older ASUS drive could not handle, this Pioneer drive performed perfectly error free.
Shipped with Firmware 1.02 (Do not upgrade the Firmware!), this drive is ultra quiet and fully compatible with MakeMKV (Also tested with AnyDVD HD with no issues). All in all a very nice Drive to own. If you are serious about backing-up your 4K collection, this is the drive to get.

Best quality drive i ve used, fast reading from when you insert the disc to it showing in windows, and it rips 4ks movies easily enough with makemkv software. great store, good communication and fast shipping as described would buy another one from again thanks
Wow! A user on the Make MKV forum recommended this Australian site for buying a UHD enabled optical drive, that would work with all discs, using the program MakeMKV.
I purchased the Pioneer BDR-S13J-X on backorder and the drive was delivered less than 2 weeks later. I cannot believe how quiet and excellent this drive is. I’ve now tested it with all disc types (especially some triple layered 4K discs) and it performs perfectly every time. I’m so glad I was told about this site, and highly recommend anyone needing a reliable 4K enabled drive, to spend the extra money and get the Pioneer BDR-S13J-X from Marty McNuts! Customer service has exceeded my expectations
Very happy with the premium Pioneer BDR-S13J-X & Alxum SATA/USB 3.0 Powered Adapter! It work straight away with Make MKV and my MacBook and also on my Windows drive. The Pioneer BDR-S13J-X is very well made, solid and quiet. It rips anything easily and it’s quite quick with good speeds. I tried a recently released UHD Blue Ray and the quality of picture and audio (Dolby Vision/DTS/HDR) was awesome! Shipping was slightly more quicker than expected (Stated on this site) and had been tested and packadged very well. Now time to set up the NAS and Media server for either Plex or Jelly fin WebOS Apps on my LG TV! Very happy with this purchase and the team here! Well worth spending extra on the pioneer too!
